Coach Jake has been coaching Kindergartners through High-School seniors for 12 years. He began coaching 15U, 16U, and 17U for the Iowa Mavericks and Iowa Barnstormers AAU programs while in college, and started Portland Reign in 2021.

He has been a Director of Youth Basketball in Portland for high schoolers, middle schoolers, and youth since 2021.

In 2025, he was named 100 Most Impactful Grassroots Directors by Silver Waves Media.
